Great book by a current candidate

The first chapter is nothing special the annotations are mostly light and highlight tactical moments easily found by computer in Blubaum's early games. A later chapter contain games against elite players later in his career are much more annotated in much better detail. The biography is interesting especially about the German's Federation "Princes" coaching sessions of promising young players. The English Federation should take note. For example early in his career, Short was thrown to the wolves in tournaments against elite players before was ready, and in general lack of structured coaching for promising young players. There is a nice chapter on Blubaum's endgames by Muellar, and another one on tactical exercises. In general can't think of many books by current elite players commentating on their games. Great book, recommended. It isn't an easy book so probably not for beginner level.
